"Find U Again" is a song by English producer Mark Ronson featuring vocals by Camila Cabello. Written by Ronson, Cabello, Kevin Parker and Ilsey Juber, and produced by Ronson and Parker, the song was released on May 30, 2019 as the fourth single from Ronson's album Late Night Feelings.

Background[]

Camila had mentioned after the release of the song that she had the idea for "Find U Again" last year from a lyric she wrote: "If I lost you, I know I'd never find you again". On February 11, 2019 Ronson, Cabello and songwriter Ilsey Juber shared a picture from a recording studio and hinted at a possible collaboration. Regarding the back story of the song, Ronson wrote:

Two years ago, when I was working with Kevin Parker and we were doing some DJ dates, we were messing around with some ideas, and he had this melodic idea and these chords. When we really didn't get to finish our stuff, because he was going back to Perth and starting the Tame Impala record, I asked him, 'Can I finish that song and use it for my record?' It's such a great, strong idea that I'm not gonna waste it until I really have the perfect person whose voice is just gonna cut through, and it's gonna be the right person to write the lyrics—Camila Cabello. She's such a huge pop star, I sometimes just think like, 'Oh, those people aren't gonna want to f**k with me.' Then I sent her the track and she loved it. She came in and she wrote it. I was just really in awe of how serious she takes the stuff, each take. A lot of pop music, people sing the chorus once and they just fly it over three times[1]

Cabello posted a clip of her singing the song on Instagram on April 12, 2019.[2]

Lyrics[]

[Pre-Chorus: Camila Cabello]
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again
Find you again

[Verse 1: Camila Cabello]
Baby, baby, I
Walk in the late night
Looking for your eyes
Put up a fight to find you
Lose it every time
You were the last of your kind
All of the blame's mine

[Pre-Chorus: Camila Cabello]
And I remember you told me
That we could work it all out, don't you worry
And now the tears in your eyes make it blurry
But if you say try again, I'd be ready
I'm ready, yeah
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again
Find you again

[Verse 2: Camila Cabello]
Have mercy on me, please
I messed up to the third degree
This crush is kind of crushing me
I do therapy at least twice a week
There's a you-shaped space in my bed
Always you-shaped thoughts inside my head, like
I keep pushing them right into you
La Cienega, where I remember you

[Pre-Chorus: Camila Cabello]
And I remember you told me (Told me)
That we could work it all out, don't you worry (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
And now the tears in your eyes make it blurry
But if you say try again, I'd be ready
I'm ready
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again

[Bridge: Camila Cabello]
Find you again
Find you again
Find you again
Find you again
Find you again (It's too late)
Find you again (It's too late)
Find you again (It's too late)
Find you again (It's too late)
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new (Find you again)
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you (Find you again)

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again
Find you again

[Intro]
They don't, don’t have—
Oh
They don't, don't have—
They don’t, don't have—
Oh
They don't, don't have—

[Chorus]
But I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you
It's too late, late
Ooh, find you again

[Verse]
Fi-Fi-Fi-find you again
Worry, oh
Fi-Fi-Fi-find you
Be right there
I'm right there, baby
And told me, told me, told me
Work it, work it out
So blurry
Tears in your eyes make it blurry
But they tryna say we ain’t ready
Ready
Worry, oh
Be right there
I’m right there, baby
Have mercy on me, please
I messed up, the third degree
This crush is, crushing, crushing, crushing
I do therapy at least twice a week
There's a you-shaped space in my bed
You-shaped space in my bed
Always you-shaped thoughts inside my head
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Worry, oh
Be right there
I’m right there, baby
But they don't have a—, no
But they don't have a—
But they don't have a—, no
But they don’t have a—
Worry, oh
Be right there
I'm right there, baby

[Chorus]
But I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare, compare, compare you
It's too late, late
Ooh, find you again
The night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you
Somebody new

[Verse]
Don't have a shot when I compare them to you
Somebody new
They try, cannot compare them to you
Somebody new
They try, cannot compare them to you
Somebody new
They try, cannot compare them to you
Somebody new
They try
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
