The Priceless Experience at Home was a two-part online concert series performed by Camila Cabello, sponsored by Mastercard.[1][2]
Background
On November 13, 2019, Camila Cabello announced her second studio album titled Romance.[3] Along with the album, she announced the tour and North American dates.[4] Tickets went on sale on November 21, 2019. Also that day, Cabello announced UK and Ireland dates,[5][6] followed by the rest of Europe on November 24, 2019. All European dates went on sale on November 26, 2019. On January 27, 2020, she was announced as one of the headliners for the BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, making the start of the tour in May 24, 2020[7] before being cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on March 13, 2020.[8]
On March 24, 2020, Cabello announced the whole tour will be postponed amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. She stated, "we can't start rehearsals without putting people at risk and with so much up in the air with no real definitive end in sight, I feel this is the responsible thing to do."[9] However, on May 7, 2020, the tour was canceled.[10]
Due to the cancelation of the Romance Tour, in May 2020 Cabello teamed up with Mastercard to perform two separate concerts-from-home, which would be live-streamed across Mastercard's social channels on May 27, 2020 and June 3, 2020.[11] "I was thinking about the Romance tour and how we were all bummed out that that couldn't happen," Cabello said during the livestream. "If we can’t have that in person, I want to give them some kind of concert experience at home." She also added "It’s supposed to be representative of our journey together so far—where we've been, where we are now, and where we're going. That's the part that's still unwritten."[1]
